Saturn was prominent in my consciousness today, but I didn't know why. Then I came across this news, and it feels significant. I hint at a possible reason in the astrology part below... ~Sowelu

Saturn in Astrology
Saturn symbolizes limitation, fear, time, structure, karma, consolidation, delays, the father, old age, tests, discipline, collective law/reality, school, teachers, contraction, responsibility, obligation, ambition and Satan. In the physical body it rules the skin, bones, teeth, knees and ears. (and there's a storm on Saturn right now - Is all the work we've collectively done, of breaking down old structures in the human psyche/condition, manifesting a physical effect in the universe?-Sowelu)
Saturn shows where you are being tested. Its house position in your chart indicates lessons necessary for fulfilling obligations and responsibilities so personal growth can occur. It is where you must build in self-discipline to work and work hard. Remember, "Saturn delays but does not deny." It also depicts your experience of your father’s authority, discipline and example. Saturn, in fact, may be an accurate picture of your father, but just as often is not. It - and all the planets for that matter - only represents your response to, or experience of, things in the outside world, not the things in the outside world themselves.
Saturn’s symbol is the crescent of the personality subjugated to and held down by the cross of matter.
Saturn symbolizes our crucifixion in a world of time and space: immortal spirit bound in a mortal, dying body.

An enormous storm has erupted in Saturn’s northern hemisphere.
Amateurs first sighted the storm earlier this month, but the Cassini spacecraft moved into a good position on Dec. 24 to photograph it from about 1.1 million miles away. Earth received the raw and unprocessed shots today.
The storm has a huge central funnel and a long tail that sweeps around Saturn’s northern hemisphere for tens of thousands of miles. A shot in blue light (left) reveals the extent of the tail, but infrared light (right) shows detail of the storm’s amorphous core. The photos were taken exactly a month after Cassini recovered from a solar-flare-induced error that temporarily silenced the spacecraft from Nov. 2 through Nov. 24.
Saturn’s weather is complex like Jupiter’s, but it’s often difficult to see such storms beneath Saturn’s hazy outer atmosphere, wrote Carolyn Porco, a planetary scientist and leader of Cassini’s imaging team, on Twitter.

A giant storm even brighter than Saturn's rings is raging through the planet's cloudtops. "I've never seen anything like this," says veteran planetary photographer Anthony Wesley. "It's possible that this is the biggest storm on Saturn in many decades." Here it is recorded by Wesley's 16-inch telescope on Dec. 22nd:
Instruments on NASA's Cassini spacecraft are picking up strong bursts of radio static. Apparently, lightning is being generated in multiple cells across the storm front. Cassini's cameras are also beaming back fantastic images of the tempest.
"At it's current size and brightness, the storm should be visible to anyone with a mid-size scope under steady seeing," continues Wesley. "This is a great time to be a planetary photographer."

[/b] With our knees we are able to bend in humility to the way things are, a truth whether or not we respond to it.
The last planet we can see unassisted, Saturn represents limits: the limit of our vision, the limit of our body (the skin), and the limits of personal action (the law). Saturn is the structure and the form behind the way things are. It is the Lord of this World, the Lord of Karma and Time, the keeper of Records, and our teacher. It rules the skin, teeth, the organs of hearing, the bones and the knees.
