Wow... I'm pretty sure there were no solar flares posted here in September! Huh... that month flew by and I didn't even notice until now. 7:40 PM Thursday (Eastern) October 22, 2009 www.n3kl.org/sun/noaa.html

I'm interested in these solar flare postings you make. What do they mean? I mean, I know what the numbers suggest -- activity. But what sort of cause-and-effect are you suggesting that this activity might have on those of us who gather here?
P.S. The InfoBar says I'm a new member but I actually joined years ago. In signing in recently I found my membership had been deleted so I joined as a new member under my original name/password.

(((Hiya AndiDonnaMira!)))
Cool that you're back! I saw in your profile that it linked your old posts to your new membership. Very cool!
I cannot speak for others, but I feel a particular energetic dynamic when solar flares occur. Different than downloads of other kinds, different than most typical symptoms. So for me... I tend to know they've occurred before I check NOAA, and then once I do and it's confirmed I post it here... in case anyone else has been having a particularly difficult time and couldn't account for the increase in pain/tension/energy.
I don't recall if others have ever really spoken of their experiences with the solar flares here... but for me it's a very intimate, very immediate set of visceral experiences that differ from other general symptoms of these times.
Blessings! Sowelu

Joyous Greetings, Sowelu :-) Just getting reacquainted with the posting interface here, so I hope this comes out readable ... YAY it did! I also feel solar activity acutely enough to recognize when I think the plasma is probably moving around ;-) I am a member of a women's group (no longer active but we still hold the space on Yahoo!Groups) where we worked with the solar activity at the height of the last solar cycle. I don't subscribe to Coast-To-Coast AM but I do get the newsletter because I like browsing the "Cliff's Notes." Here's a snippit from today's newsletter: "On Thursday's program, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe presented material on four subjects: H1N1 (Swine Flu), solar activity, UFO/alien encounters in England, and research into Europa's oceans. She interviewed NASA Heliospheric Team Leader David Hathaway about the sun's continued quiescent cycle. He said he can't find another solar minimum in the past that has acted like the current one, and doesn't believe there'll be a solar maximum in 2012 as some have predicted-- rather the cycle will have a small peak in 2013."Thank you for welcoming me back. It feels good to be back. In Light, AndiDonnaMira (or just AndiD) ****** In Reply To ******* (((Hiya AndiDonnaMira!))) Cool that you're back!
