    Hey All!
For the next couple weeks or so I'll be packing and moving house... and setting up house again... so I may be scarce around here. Just thought I'd let members know...
Love, Sowelu

A big move or just a change of scene?

Well... I've been living in a house that my friend owns for the last 4 years, with 2 others making a total of 4 of us. My friend has just sold the house, though. So... we need to get out ASAP and decided to join together for an apartment nearby for 6 months (just the two of us)... and then? I have no idea. But at least for now I still have a place to lay my head.
No clue what the future has in store, but I'm not exactly set up for much more of this willy-nilly existence, frankly. In North Carolina they expect a lot of things of you in order to grant you the right to rent... I don't qualify. My friend does, so I'm good for now. But in 6 months ... who knows? Plus downsizing from this 3200 sq.ft. home to a 1093 sq. ft. flat should be interesting... heh heh.
So it's a big move, a small move, a change of scene and a whole lot more, no doubt! LOL!
Love you! Sowelu

How has the move been going for you Sowelu? I was just thinking about you and the big change this is. 2009 seems to be a year of big shifts for a lot of people. Hope you are doing well!

(((Hiya Purplerose!))) Funny you should ask me that now... today is the first day of a 6 week period (approx) that I will actually be here in this apartment alone. My friend is traveling up north to family. So... for the first time in almost 20 years I have a span of time, and a secluded space, to feel nothing but my own energies. Wow. (We're on the 3rd floor of a 3 floor building, a corner unit, so there are few people around me, none above me, and only one occupied apartment below...) So far... it's good! I reveled in it a bit earlier today. The quiet alone is amazing for me. (My friend seems to like fans... he's got one always on in his room, his humidifier blows to keep his instruments in good stead... lots of fans. LOL! All that ceased when he left and I'm loving it!) I'm a pretty peaceful, quiet person, I'm realizing. As soon as my friend left, the energies here changed. And I felt this deep peace, quietude and serenity. Lovely. Don't get me wrong, my friend is actually quite lovely, funny and light, not very noisy or anything... but we don't share the same consciousness frequency or something, because I definitely felt a shift when he left, to an energy that was "more like me". I guess I never truly realized the influence his energy had on me, until it was gone. It feels like he's an anchor for me to 3D, I guess, and with him gone... I feel more at home. No doubt it's been useful to have his influence all these years, though, while I "do what I do", I guess. As for simply living here as opposed to where I was for 4 years... it's definitely smaller requiring the letting go of many "things", definitely different (landlords who are strangers, essentially, with systems of management and rules and regulations and all that) requiring a certain getting used to... but it's been mostly ok. I rarely leave the apartment unless I need to, and I made a sanctuary of my bedroom much as I always have. So... it's been similar to being in the old place too, in some respects. I guess I'm the one that's the same, no matter where I find myself. *giggle* Wow... didn't realize I was so "talkative". *heehee* Thanks for asking, Purplerose! (((Hugs!))) Love you! Sowelu

The quiet sounds delicious! I too love and crave quiet. Coming home to my own place is something I always look forward to.
Hope you get the most out of this time to yourself!

Enjoy the peace and quite Sowelu.
Since my youngest left 3 years ago, hubby and I enjoy being empty nesters. Just the two of us in a 5 bedroom home.
Then last week my son and his wife and 1 year old were here for a week. What a difference! Don't get me wrong, I loved having them here, but I also like the quietness of them gone again.
Hugs, Marlies

Isn't it amazing, Marlies? I just spoke with my parents yesterday and they thought for sure I must be lonely or bored or something, or depressed even, since I had no one to talk to all day. LOL! I reminded them of the child I was... and they got it. I have always enjoyed being quietly alone. Since I was a wee thing. I have a whole inner life that's rich and amazing, and peace and stillness is my core nature, so... I love it. Plus, if I get an idea or a creative flow I can just act on it without having to adjust for time, other people or anything... and I really enjoy that too. Glad you got your quietude back! But also glad you had the chance to be with your son and family! Love you! Sowelu
