How to Take a Cleansing Breath
The breath is one of the Living Tools that has been provided to access Living Law. Living Law is higher than physical law, and is unlimited in its ability to offer a solution for all problems.
We have immediate access to the breath and because it is something we have to do anyway to keep the body from ceasing to exist, by re-interpreting the breath to be one with a Universal experience, the breath can be used to learn how to be Universally inspired.
Using the breath to cleanse the mind of all contaminated information, which interferes with the Universal Inspiration, will help consciousness shift out of past physical understanding into a Universal approach. This will entail learning how to breath in the Now, instead of using the breath simply for the body
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
Focus
Your breath
Your intention
Your Free Will
Step 1
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. In the beginning, focus will be difficult. This is because the mind has been trained to use the breath to support the body, and not for cleansing irrational thought. Re-training your mind to take control of the breathe takes conscious effort, so consciously decide to use the breath to reach beyond what you believe is possible. By using your intention, and being willing to move beyond past expectations, the breathe can be used to offer comfort, sooth, and heal in time of stress.
Step 2
Generally when we are stressed, we forget to breath. In order to maintain a body without the breath is very difficult. By practicing ahead of time, and reminding yourself to breathe when problems emerge, you will learn to offer yourself something even drugs cannot offer. This is peace of mind.
Practice conscious breathing before a problem occurs. When something upsetting does occur, remind yourself to shift into a cleansing breathe pattern. This will allow your mind to move out of what you don't want into what you do want. Higher Help is available in conscious breathing, so consciously breathe reminding yourself before hand that what you want is in your breath. Imagine an empty space that you are breathing into. Do not allow your mind to focus on anything except breathing into this empty space. If a thought enters your mind, quickly refocus on the rhythm of the breathe. Do not allow your mind to wander and fall back into what you do not want. Remain focused only on being one with your breath.
Step 3
The mind is contaminated by past memory. These are memories stored in the body and serve no useful purpose. All memory stored in the body is past memory. All fear and pain emerge from past memory. Fear and pain require conscious attention if they are to be maintained. If you do not give them your attention, they will fade. Instead if paying attention to fear and pain, pay attention to the empty space by breathing into it. They do not exist in this empty space where you are directing your breath.
When you first start conscious breathing when a problem emerges, you may receive startling results. This should be enough for you to realize something has occurred that is out of what is perceived as normal. Do not judge the experience, just use it. Do not talk to yourself about it. Just use it.
Contaminated memory is lethal to the body because of the fear attached to this. Memories of fear and pain can hear your self talk and will sabotage your efforts by increasing fear or pain. Therefore it is best if you do not self talk about what conscious breathing is for. Remember, thoughts are things, and the whole body is a communication system. Do not share what conscious breathing is for with your internal thoughts. If you find yourself thinking about this, immediately stop.
Step 4
The breath is an unconscious function, or it is one we can take immediate charge of. Under unconscious conditions, old memories can take charge and bring about uncomfortable body conditions. Because most people use the fight or flight breath, which is in the upper part of the lungs, it is important to use the bottom part of your lungs for the cleansing breath. This will require conscious breathing. To learn this, watch a baby breath. They breath from the abdomen. This is correct. This allows a liter of blood to flow through the lungs, which supplies the body with energy. Because fear rapes the body and depletes energy, the body is open to attack.
You would not tell a rapist how you are going to avoid their attack, please do not share this information through self talk.
Step 5
You can choose to be consciously in control of your breath. This means you can be consciously in control of your body. This does not mean you will assign yourself another way of thinking. If you use your breath expressly for undoing fear, you will receive Higher Help. Trust that by using your breathe to stabilize you in the present, Higher Help is immediately available.
The more you use this technique, the easier it will be to understand that Higher Help is where you are, but it is always up to you to take the first step by making the decision of where you consciously want to be; in fear, or in Love.
