(PRWEB) - HOLLYWOOD (PRWEB) January 18, 2006 -- The Hollywood premiere of "The Indigo Evolution," an eye-opening documentary that explores claims of extraordinarily intelligent, psychically sensitive and spiritually evolved "indigo" children, will be held at the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center, 8687 Melrose Avenue, in West Hollywood, at 1 p.m. Jan. 28.
Tickets to the arthouse premiere are $32 a person, discounted to $28 a person through Jan. 23. They are available online at www.cosmikids.org or by calling the Hollywood premiere hotline, toll free, at 1-888-543-7738. Seating is limited. The film will be shown only once during the premiere screening.
The exclusive event will include a fascinating, post-screening panel discussion with the film's co-producer and co-director, Kent Romney, as well as with four child-development and -enrichment specialists featured in the film. Also on the panel will be some of the top child-rearing experts and visionaries on the planet. The discussion, with audience participation, will be videotaped for possible inclusion as a "bonus feature" when the film is made available on DVD.
The event will also include complimentary pre- and post-show receptions, with wine, cheese and sumptuous hors d'oeuvres, and a book-signing by discussion panelists. There will be gifts for every attendee and 50 special prizes.
A celebrity or two may also make a personal appearance at the premiere, according to the event's sponsors. Among the celebrities known to give credence to the concept of indigo children are Pamela Anderson, Madonna, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson, Eminem, LL Cool J, Maria Shriver and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The concept of indigo children has also increasingly received prominent coverage by the major national media. The New York Times published an 1,800-word feature story about it last week. USA Today examined the phenomenon in May 2005. CNN reporter Gary Tuchman examined it on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" in November 2005. So did Diane Sawyer on ABC's "Good Morning, America."
The Hollywood documentary premiere Jan. 28 is sponsored by CosmiKids ( www.cosmikids.org ) of Brea, Calif., the leader in child-enrichment programs, and Children of the New Earth ( www.childrenofthenewearth.com ), an international monthly online magazine focusing on the physical, emotional, mental and psychological development and well-being of today's children.
"The Indigo Evolution" ( www.theindigoevolution.com ) explores the meaning behind the growing number of claims that certain children and adults, born starting in the 1970s, have special psychological and spiritual attributes, including acute empathy and intuition, as well as very high intelligence and self-confidence. The film examines if the claims of almost supernatural traits among these people are merely New Age nonsense, or if indigos truly represent the beginnings of a leap in human evolution unlike anything previously observed or documented.
Numerous people who have seen "The Indigo Evolution" in pre-release screenings say it shows that these nonconformist, bright children and adults not only have a purpose, but also know what it is and plan to pursue it. Many of the indigos featured in the film have become highly acclaimed artists, poets, musicians -- and some even peacemakers.
"This film provides a strong sense of optimism for the future of planet earth," says Judy Julin, founder and CEO of CosmiKids and a child-enrichment expert. "People are going to really be surprised by this film."
Adds Sandie Sedgbeer, publisher of Children of the New Earth and a recognized authority on the indigo phenomenon: "While most parents believe their children are special, indigo children do have identifiable traits."
She and Julin are among the experts featured in the film and participating in the post-screening panel discussion. They add that they believe all children -- indeed, all people -- are capable of developing indigo-like traits if nurtured in specified ways.
