Congratulations to my friends south of the border! What a historic event, not just for your country, but for the world.
I've been watching the huge crowds of people on the television, struck by all the emotion in the vast crowds who are celebrating. So much ecstatic joy being felt and expressed by so many people all around the world, simultaneously. I wonder how that must be affecting everything, in a larger sense. I wonder if such a collective experience of emotion like this has ever happened before. What an amazing thing to be a witness to, and a part of.

You know... my older sister, who once married a black man and now has two milato children, always knew that in her lifetime there would be a black president. Way back when she first uttered this knowing, people thought she was nuts, but she absolutely knew it would happen. You can imagine her elation... he's not just African-American (milato, to boot!), but he's clearly heart-based and remembers humanity's nobility and integrity, as well.
When I watch Mr. Obama, I feel heart energy and see grace and a true love of humanity. It's heart warming and uplifting and so inspirational. I know he's got a tough row to hoe, but he's clearly backed by his divinity and we're all blessed he chose and was chosen for this pivotal role in human history.
YAY!!

He is definitely an inspirational figure. I was watching his acceptance speech, and people were crying and just so moved emotionally by it. I have never seen anything like that before. He is a great orator, and that is very important. It's like people need a person they can look up to for reassurance, a leader who is beloved by the people and who has the ability to move them. Very astonishing. I wonder if he knew he was going to be president someday. Something in me still feels a bit of shock that this happened. I don't really see a black man when I look at him, but really what he represents - an integration. He is not only an integration of black and white, but intellectually he has the ability to integrate seemingly opposite ideas and weigh both sides of the coin. He really is a symbol of that.
And what's cool is the world was rejoicing as well. I wonder if he is aware of just how many people he has inspired.

:-XDear Purplerose: I am so glad you addressed that. People keep talking about him being black, but he is both white and black, biracial and was born in Hawaii, which is a very spiritual environment. I received an email yesterday that I want to share with you all, as I feel he is here to help us with a much higher purpose: not only to bring the country together, but also the world. He is getting a positive reaction everywhere, and this could surely help bring peace to the world. I am so excited. I feel this was his destiny! I agree, Cherubtree. The feeling that keeps rising in me is that his PRESENCE is a trigger for so many people around the world to finally come into their own presence, their own heart and truth, and let it show without feeling a need to hide their light under a bushel basket anymore, so to say. He's the SIGN we didn't know we were waiting for, that it's time... It's so beautiful to see the impact he's having, around the entire globe. The hope that one day it would happen, that it even could happen... that people would choose their heart en masse... has been realized and I don't even have words for the gratitude and elation that rises. Many may not yet know it still, but we all have this ability to inspire and en-light-en. To bring light and hope and enthusiasm to life on earth again, through our very being, our presence. He's showing the way.

I cried during his acceptance speech. A man who knows who he is and has never lost sight of who he is. Knows where he's going and how to get there. Just what we need to anchor /be Heaven On Earth if it is truely possible. 2012 is less than one Presidential term away...

A.H., I didn't realize that about 2012. Very interesting...
Yes, it's just incredible, when I think about this person. He isn't even our president, but we've had a love affair with him up here since he started campaigning. The world loves him. He's bringing hope to so many people around the globe.
When I think about the election and how the two sides presented themselves, it appeared that it was a battle between hope and fear. And hope won over fear.
