Now, a pause. Breathe in this singular moment of accelerating change.
The Virgo New Moon on Saturday completes the lunar cycle that began with a dramatic Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 1. On Monday evening, La Luna will commune with her sister Venus and brothers Mars and Mercury in a rare and stunning display just after sunset in the western sky. In her lunar crescent phase, the Moon hangs low on the horizon, a delicate sliver accompanied by her twinkling planetary companions.
This conjunction of the "feminine" Moon and Venus with "masucline" Mars and Mercury happens in the sign of Libra, visually portraying the balance we seek in our lives and in our world. This is a special moment to breathe, together, the possibility of change, a brighter future.
My dear brother Jade Wah'oo Grigori writes about the celestial gathering: "This configuration will prove to be a powerful catalyst for those who conscientiously choose the integration of the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine into conscious embodied expression."
What a succulent gift following the frenzy of the August eclipse season. Celebrate this moment. Allow your heart to fill with infinite possibilities. Dream big.______________________________________________________________________
New Moon in Virgo - August 30 - 3:58 PM EDT; 7:58 PM GMT
It's a New Moon, and a new beginning. The meeting of the Sun and Moon in Virgo is the second New Moon this month, bringing the August eclipse season officially to a close. What a ride it's been. The volatility instigated during the eclipses will continue. Meanwhile, Virgo tends to the details of life. Expansive Jupiter trines Saturn, grounding the energies with the element of Earth. It's time to put the structures in place to manifest the visions and plans that surfaced during the past month. Although the forms will change again, and quickly, we must build. Venus, Mars and Mercury in Libra urge balance, justice and peace.Jupiter Stations Direct - September 7/8
Pluto Stations Direct - September 8/9
Both Jupiter and Pluto change direction in September, stationing direct within a day of each other. Retrograde in Capricorn since early May, Jupiter returns to forward motion on September 7 (or 8, depending on your time zone), allowing for expansion and expression of new forms. Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, has been retrograde since April 2, traveling backward through the early degrees of Capricorn into the late degrees of Sagittarius. He'll turn direct on September 8 (or 9, depending on your time zone) and spend two more months in the sign of the Archer before entering Capricorn on November 11. This is the grand finish of Pluto's dance with the Galactic Center. We'll be absorbing the cosmic download from this historic passage for years to come. Pluto's transit of Capricorn will transform structures, institutions and systems on planet Earth for the next 16 years.Harvest Moon - Full Moon in Pisces - Night of September 14
(exact lunation September 15 - 5:13 AM EDT; 9:13 AM GMT)
This year's Harvest Moon rises on the night of September 14, cresting to full early the next morning. Venus, Mars and Mercury in Libra are still closely conjunct in the western sky. Harvest Moon is the Full Moon closest to the Autumn Equinox. Traditionally, farmers work late in the fields to gather the harvest by moonlight. And so we reap the blessings of our lives. With the Moon in Pisces, the yield is spiritual, transcendent, emotional. Uranus conjuncts the Moon, and we may be carried away by waves of bliss. Succumb to the divine insights streaming forth this sacred night.
Autumn Equinox - September 22 - 11:45 AM EDT; 3:45 PM GMT
Equinox is a point of balance, a pause in the solar year. Day and night are equal length. Shadows lengthen in the Northern Hemisphere. Crisp, cooler nights signal the change of seasons. In the Southern Hemisphere, new life re-emerges in spring. Astrologically, the Equinox comes when the Sun enters Libra, sign of balance, harmony and peace. We celebrate the harvest, the richness of life, with this turn of the wheel.
