(((((Hi Guys!))))) I'm here. ;D My sleep schedule shifted again, so I'm up all night, asleep by day. When that happens I seem to move out of step with the outward flow and into an inward focus. Thanks for thinking of me!

How interesting to be awake when all the world is quiet. Good for inner work I bet.

Sowelu, It's good to know that it's the change of sleeping pattern that has kept you away these couple of days. What do you do while everyone is asleep? Curious...LOL!

Well, Lun is correct, at least for me. Night time has always beckoned me, since birth. My mother was a night owl when younger, which was perfect for when she had me, because I slept by day as an infant, too, and was quietly awake at night. I can almost feel the difference between night and day as the difference between the subtle forces of nature - by day we're ruled by the sun, the masculine. By night, we're ruled by the moon, the feminine. So night time for me is when I "be", daytime is when I "do". And I cycle between these two naturally, without forcing it, of course. It just seems to be that I have a rotating sleep/wake schedule with a wisdom of its own. Being awake at night is akin to being conscious of the feminine, rather than the feminine being something that "speaks to us while we sleep" or while we're unconscious. For most of my life that translated as getting a handle on my lower emotional issues while the rest of the world slept, so I could "hear/feel my own rhythm" better, it being more prominent because those around me were emotionally quieted. Perhaps being empathic has been at the root of why I can sense my own energies better at night, not sure. Lately I seem to tune in more to Spirit at night, rather than "issues" per se, though they sometimes take the floor still, yes. Again it seems I function this way because the energetics are less erratic and "static/noisy" at night. And then by day I bring what I learn of the feminine - emotions or spirit/intuition - into the light, often through expression (writing), or through application by doing, sharing with others, etc. Thanks and love, Sowelu

Hahaha! I just added the lyrics to "Blue Moon" to a file I have on my computer of all the songs I like, and as I looked through it, I realized a good number of the songs focus on night time, the moon, stars, etc. LOL!
"Dancing in the Moon light", "Moondance", "Starry, Starry Night", "Blue Moon", and on.
Just thought that was funny. It isn't intentional, it's just the songs that tend to move me. ;D Such is my nature, I suppose. *giggle*

Here's something I wrote in '91 that says it pretty well, I think. (poetry often rises in the night too, actually) I revel in the night with its mystery and promise. I come alive as the earth's light goes dim. I enter new worlds with joy and abandon The only light now shines from within. I open doors to sweet wonders - reveal surprising talents to my day-me. I feel as light as feathers... As if the merest breath can sway me. I paint pictures with inner visions and cast off limits that bind... I become pure energy that knows no time. I close my eyes with reluctance only when I find I'm weary. Yet disappointment remains at bay... For new adventures await these eyes so bleary As I dream of lands far away. copyright 2004, all rights reserved
