well, I don't really know where to start... can't remember when we have been in touch the last time. I've been living here in Finland now some two years and travelled around the planet until I ran out of money.
Now I've been pretty much on the survival mode because finding a job wasn't as easy as I thought. So, my wonderful plan of taking a year or so for a sabbatical backfired. I finally got a job in June, but it really sucks. My contract will end at the end of September and I'm desperately trying to find another job so that I don't have to sign another contract with my current employer.
The interesting part of my current job is that it really forces me to dig out the crap inside me. I have to face some deep issues I have relating to work in general. I'm trying to work with my issues as much as I can, because I feel that I'm stuck in my job until I solve those issues (or some of them at least).
So, in a nutshell, I'm practically broke, I have a job that doesn't pay enough and that I really dislike, but otherwise I'm fine ;D

[glow=blue,2,300]Well, I'm glad to hear from you! My job ends in September as well and I will be jobless until I find another job. Though I am sure whatever needs to happen will happen. I have applied for 4 others, 3 of which I am pretty sure won't happen. The last one I really would love to have, though it'll be awhile till I hear anything. If nothing, I am going back to school, yes I said the infamous "S" word! LOL! To get a masters in clinical social work. I am actually excited about it. In fact, I'll probably do it even if I get the job. I know how ya feel though about being in a shitty job and feeling stuck. You're so cool though, you can work through ANYTHING! And hey, if ya gotta blow off some steam, we've got a vent forum! Well, I hope you'll be around here often. I feel like my long lost brother has returned! ::HUGS:: [/glow]  |
