This is the other one, Elementals.
*******************
When I began writing this article, I thought I had a good understanding of what a Nature Spirit, or Elemental, was. But then I realized just how many different Elementals there are and how complex their jobs on this planet are. As it turns out, there are too many types of beings falling into the larger Elemental category to name in this article. These beings include Trees, Faeries, Elves, Devas, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Salamanders, Pygmies, Sylphs, Mermaids, and Naiads, just to name a few. In general they are described as builders of form and stewards of life force, and in this regard they can be subdivided to represent the four elements. This in itself is overwhelming when you think of the sheer number of Elemental species that must exist throughout the universe, not to mention their collective total. This left me wondering how I could possibly write about them without writing several books!
So just what are Elementals? The answer to this question is actually multi-dimensional in nature. In general, Elementals are a collective of different races of beings that energetically assist with structure and form in this universe. They are literally what hold planets together and without them structure would not evolve nor would it be intact. Without their assistance Earth would simply degrade until it was a big, dead, dusty ball floating in space. It could not support life and we would have to find somewhere else to live or die with it.
Yet, to fully understand this we must understand the enormity and importance of the term "life force." Life force obviously applies to "living things" as we on Earth understand. But it also applies to everything that is structure on this planet - rocks, dirt, wood, glass, metals - even the computer that I am writing this on. This means that if the Elementals were to leave Earth, after it became a big, dead, dusty ball in floating in space at some point it would also simply disintegrate and cease to be. Perhaps we would find remnants of it floating as asteroids with the last shreds of life in the form of dormant bacteria clinging to them, waiting for the presence of an Elemental to wake them out of their slumber. But this wouldn't do the planet or any of us any good would it? This is how important Elementals are to the infrastructure of the universe.
Who Are the Elementals?
I find that we tend to categorize the Elementals into three subgroups - Devas, Elementals, and Trees. While they are all Elementals, the differentiation has to do with their different dimensional representations. The Devas and Elementals tend to span several dimensions (so many I can't quite put my finger on which ones and where the dividing line is), while the Trees originate in the 2nd Dimension (2D) but exist in others.
Devas
Higher dimensional aspects of Elementals, usually called Devas, are etheric in form and have specific jobs to do aside from just infusing their frequency into an area. Picture an etheric being doing what I would describe as a specific job, much like gods and goddesses are depicted. A specific job would be something like building mountains or filling the oceans.
Note that each species has its own energetic signature so even though they are etheric, they are distinctly different and recognizable in our 3D Earth terms.
Elementals
Making our way down the frequency and dimensional ladder we find that the Elementals begin to take on different physical forms. These are the Elementals that we Humans have seen most often and in the flesh such as Elves, Gnomes, and Leprechauns (Earth), Mermaids (Water), Sylphs (Air), or Salamanders (Fire). Perhaps this is the very reason why we call this subgroup by their common, larger group name of Elemental.
Elementals range from etheric beings that can take on corporeal form at will to those who actually incarnate physically as a particular species. Elementals don't necessarily do specific jobs per se, such as building mountains. However, they do infuse their energy or frequency into an area or energetically assist nature (and thus their etheric counterparts). In other words, they only have to be present to do their "job." Still, those who choose to incarnate physically might incarnate and take on an occupation that is in alignment with their species' function, such as a forest ranger or conservationist.
Still, most Elementals provide assistance simply by way of their energy signatures and frequencies. For instance, Ireland had a large population of Leprechauns while other areas may have had Gnomes or Elves as residents. They chose where to reside based on their function as a species or cultural group. This means that the larger the population of Elementals in an area, the higher the infusion of their energy frequency into it, and it is one of the explanations for why many places on Earth are considered sacred or of high energy or frequency (or why they once were).
Trees
Trees are the keepers of the structure of the life force of a planet. Even with all of the other Elementals species, their energy, and their assistance, a planet cannot exist without some form of Trees.
Trees, in the etheric, are present as soon as life is breathed into an atom. Even in the etheric they grow deep, wide roots to reach into the heart of the entity they inhabit and they grow tall to connect with the heart of the universe - the Central Sun. When they are present in the physical, they also help to maintain the ecosystem by providing an exchange of elements with the surrounding air, earth, and water. They are sturdy and stand tall but also know how to bend and adapt. Trees have been here since the beginning of time on this planet and are like an old, wise, and compassionate friend.
Where Can We Find Elementals?
In truth, there are two answers to this. One is what I call the "3D" answer, or the one that pertains to this Earth today in the 3rd dimension. The second answer is the "Multi-dimensional" or "MD" answer, which explains the history of Elementals on this Earth and discusses where the ones that take on physical form exist now.
So to answer the first question, Elementals are everywhere! They are present in spirit, hence the term Nature Spirits, in each and every thing on this 3rd dimensional Earth.
Elementals aren't hard to find at all - you can stay indoors or go out into nature. You can ask the Elementals to come forward and speak to you, meditate, or just open up to feeling their energy. You can speak to specific Elementals, a specific group, or to Elementals in general. While I love the Elementals in my home, I also love to go out into nature and experience them. One fun way is to take a walk on a nature trail. Another might be gardening or spending time in the backyard. Take some time to experiment and find out which way to connect works best for you.
Now for the Multi-dimensional (MD) answer…
Have you ever wondered why we as a species do not routinely commune with the Faeries and the Elves and the Mermaids any longer? I have to admit that finding the answer to this question was the most pressing on my mind as I was writing this article. I mean, if there are so many of them, and so many different types, shouldn't the odds of seeing or sensing them be high enough that everyone would know about them? Well, it seems to me that this should indeed be so but apparently it isn't. Nature Spirits are relegated to the realm of myth and legend and are generally considered the content of children's stories, fantasy, or science fiction. If I were to tell the average Joe that I communicated with Elves, I bet they'd quickly tell me how crazy I am.
Knowing this isn't true - that the Elementals actually do exist and are all around us - I realized that my guides had already given me the information that I was looking for. We wouldn't know about the Elemental races at all if they weren't real would we? They were well known up through the Middle Ages and were the primary residents of what J.R.R. Tolkien calls Middle Earth. But first things first: If they were here and widely known and seen, what happened to make them unseen now?
To answer this we need to understand that terms such as Middle Earth, for instance, is simply another way to describe what the Hindus call Yugas or the Mayans call Ages. It is a period of time and when that period passes, major changes happen and groups who inhabited that age appear to just fade away. You see this when the Elves leave Middle Earth in The Lord of the Rings, at the end of the Mahabharata when Krishna and others disappear, or in the tales of the disappearance of the Mayans. Each time it is depicted as sort of a grand exit, often with a small portion of the group staying behind. But what happens is that as the frequency changes on a planet at the end of an Age, those of different frequencies co-exist in sorts of parallel realities but are hidden from view from one another. This is a gradual occurrence, hence some staying around longer than others in the stories, and is often hardly noticeable at first.
Since this is a gradual occurrence, until well into the Middle Ages people knew of dragons and Faeries and Elves and such and reported seeing them. This is because the frequency had not fallen enough for the portals between dimensions to be completely sealed or for these people to be completely invisible to us yet. And now, as the frequency rises, we are more and more likely every day to run into an Elemental in either etheric or corporeal form.
So next time that you pick up a rock, or lie on a grassy knoll in the sunlight, remember that there are and always have been nature spirits that inhabit every square inch of this planet we call Earth. So hug a Tree, ask a Salamander for assistance starting your campfire, and thank the Devas for making that beautiful patch of wildflowers. And if you're lucky, maybe you'll run into a Leprechaun or a Faerie or two.
Namaste!
