I was having dinner last night with my friend Angela, who was filling me in on her recent trip home to visit relatives, living in New Orleans. Each time she goes back, she is able to pick up ENERGETIC TONES about the state of affairs there. One of these tones she brought back to us in December.... a mournful poem, which she called "New Orleans at Christmas time." This time, she laid out a story about a Civil Rights March she encountered, while there, involving a bridge between two counties in the New Orleans area---a protest that was spurred on and supported by speeches from Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Bill Cosby. As she spoke about the spirit of the people, and the image of those marchers on the bridge, I received a vision about something unusual that seems to be happening there, and in other parts of the world as well.
This vision was supplemented and warmed by a little book I leafed through over the weekend, while browsing through a bookstore in downtown Seattle. I spent some time there.......wandering through, and drinking in random, book store energies. Wherever Spirit takes me in the store, I go there. The book was just a little thing. It was called : "Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?" and it was focused around the incredible loss that America is experiencing, culturally, while our leadership keeps back peddling on getting full restoration done down there. It's sad, and the lady who wrote this book (as well as my friend, in her own way) bear witness to that tragedy.
As she mentioned her home town, and the demonstration on the bridge, I saw a PORTAL that has been opened, between New Orleans and certain parts of the Continent of Africa. I realized that these two parts of the Earth have many things in common, as well as some strategic opposites as well. I felt energy moving back and forth through the portal, exchanging vibratory essence that is useful to each side. I was made aware that there are many such "connections" being formed, all over the world.
The Reconnections refer to these as "Trans-Portals"........and the exchange points (or "Checkpoints") are "Astral Bridges" formed between two or more locales. I suspect that I received this vision because a BRIDGE was the whole point of this Civil Rights March, which we were discussing at dinner.
Telling more about these Portals, the Reconnections tell us:
"An Astral Bridge begins as an Etheric Connector which brings together two points in physical space which appear to be separated by a gap. The Bridge itself originates somewhere else in the Multiverse---performing a clear purpose within an alternative level of here and now. Through a process we shall explain shortly, a perceptual cursor is passed over the image, and it is highlighted and copied (to use familiar computer terms) to a place where it is desperately needed.
At the moment of its transposition, an Astral Bridge is constructed almost entirely of faith. It has been written that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." People don't believe in things because they appear. Things appear in physical space because people believe in them. So it is with an Astral Bridge. At the moment it is required, the Bridge gets pasted directly into your NOW.........in a process that only could be described as miraculous........even though it often appears to be a natural part of your flow. The resolution of present-moment conflict with another person (or with society, for that matter) is brought about by opening a Portal between a physical aspect of you that exists *here* and an alternative aspect of you that exists *elsewhere*---particularly an aspect that is currently enjoying victory over the same type of energy which is giving you such heartburn in this current moment.
If it were possible for you to analyze the energy "chemistry" of the version of you that exists HERE, and the alternative version of yourself that is functioning THERE, you would notice that one or more key elements are missing. To remedy this, an Astral Bridge is formed by taking a "soul sample" of that alternative self and infusing it into yourself here. Once the required "energy supplement" gets added to your localized "digestive system," you will find that the whole TONE of your current situation begins to change. And, it happens automatically, without conscious effort or struggle. The only thing required is a clear statement of intent (which would be blending with a more Expanded Level of Yourself), and the faith that is required to bring it all about. "

The Africans have been experiencing death, destruction, and political neglect for decades........centuries even. The people of New Orleans, though poverty stricken in many areas before Hurricane Katrina, are relatively new to these levels of suffering. So are those who observe their plight on CNN and through other media. Whereas many Africans have become numb to day-in/day-out deprivation, dead to it, the people of New Orleans are enraged. They are resentful of neglect by the U.S. Government, and they want action and answers now!
The energy essences of restlessness and outrage can be a helpful "dietary supplement" for people who have gotten used to lives of helplessness and passivity. It reminds them they are human beings, worthy of respect, and they have options about changing their lives, if only they choose to use them. On the other hand, resignation and endurance---which come from exposure to adverse circumstances over long periods of time--can be like "scabs" that develops over an open wound. They protect the soul, while it positions itself for healing or resolution down the line. Both essences are useful, when shared in the proper amounts.
All over the world, there are "brother" or "sister" cities and regions that are benefiting from Soul Exchanges such as the Guides are describing. It's all part of the ONENESS MERGE of the Ages. Not only does this process occur in present-time, present day---it also applies to CROSSTIME CONNECTIONS as well. Regularly, there are Astral Bridges being developed between current civilizations and those which live in our past or future. A perfect example of that is the Essassani Culture that is represented by the channeled teachings of Bashar, as well as various Atlantean or Lemurian Connections as well.
This is a powerful time. And these are powerful processes. It is an ebb and flow of Soul Essence, back and forth across the Globe........a Soul equivalent to the Arc of Energy that is being developed and broadcast via our Crystal Cities, or the considerable flow of knowledge and information that is being transmitted through the Internet.
More will be revealed. Little by little, the Veils are being either dropped of lifted........and Global Connection is occurring, on a magnificent scale. Just in time for the Feast of the Ages! And so it is.
