Hi all wishing everyone a very happy new year
I have been having some energies sensations I'd like to share, any input would be most helpful. Almost every evening I sit for meditation and all of a sudden I get into a trance and get sleepy after some time my body startes getting some jerking sensations and I can feel tingling around my body. It feels at times I am losing my breath and feels like a sort of weight in my heart chakra area. Then my body will become uncomfortably hot/warm, after I get up I feel out of it for a while and it takes 15 or 20 mins to feel physically normal again. This happens each time I meditate and it started about 1/12 to two years ago. These sensations can feel almost like an over load. I am not sure what exactly is happening to me it's confusing at times as to what exactly this may be? Any inputs would be helpful to me.

(((Hiya Magic!!))) I've also gone through those very same symptoms for years, and my own sense of what's happening is "transmuting energies" or integrating them to the heart. In days past it might have been termed kundalini rising or something else, but the gist of the feeling for me is just that the body is the vehicle through which energy is "returned home to the heart". So we act sort of like an engine for this process, and we literally heat up from the "work" of the energy movement through our system. It also feels "natural" in the sense that it isn't occurring because of our personal will (in other words it's not something we've done or intended or caused in any direct one-to-one relationship way) so much as it is because it is a natural and necessary part of life here at this time. So when we meditate or "sit for spirit" in any way, we are aligning ourselves with Divine Will, so to speak, which places our form in the position of being a vehicle for what naturally is and must happen at this incredible time here. Hope that helps perhaps with gaining a perspective. Love you! Sowelu

Thanks Sowelu:)
That sure makes sense to me, this would explain why it happens mainly when I am meditating, it seems like a daily routine for me now and sometimes its soo overwhelming wow!

For myself... I've consciously made such a heartfelt committment to whatever is in the highest good of all, that I be used as a vehicle for that... that I end up having the symptoms occur at any and all times now. It used to be just when I meditated, but now it will begin unbidden in a moment, and I must stop whatever I'm doing in order to accomodate it. Just mentioned that in case it happens for others that way, or changes for you. Love you! (((Hugs))) Sowelu

Hi! I just wanted to share with you. I don't meditate to much right now but the energies get me anyway when I'm just resting or napping or sleeping. lol I getting the jerking, the breathing thing, feel often like I'm tumbling head over heals in energy! Well anyway I have found it sooooooooo helpful to place my hands on my thighs, right hand to right thigh, left hand to left thigh. It really really helps ground the energy and when I'm done I feel normal more quickly than if I hadn't done this. It's a grounding technique taught by Donna Eden. Try it!
