In the Spiritual Self Extension of Self--we are referring to the Monad Experience. Monad is another word for Spiritual Spark.
Each spiritual spark emerges from the Source. It is immediately evident that this spark is different from any other that exists. The reflection of this high truth would be the difference in snowflakes--that no two are exactly the same, the patterns within them contain differences. Similarly, the spiritual sparks are each different.
They come from different locations of the Creator's consciousness, to be manifested in certain directions rather than others. Each one comes with a specific path that is exactly right for him/her to experience in his/her journey through creation toward his/her own individual goal.
However, free will is also given, and very many choose---almost all, as a matter of fact--to deviate somewhat from that perfect goal. In a sense, each must find out for himself/herself that the Creator is who He Says He is--the Creator--and than He knows what's best for each of us.
Then we can journey through creation by experiencing and return to the origin as we left it, but self-realized, knowing that it is appropriate that we be here, that with free will we have chosen to be here.
Where is here? It is back where we started with the Creator, but with the knowledge that that is where we are, know that we now serve Him and choose to do so as an individualized portion of Him.
That is what the Creator needs in his experiencing--one who are happy to be there and know it is appropriate to be there and have chosen to be there. Many of us have resisted this, but we work through each little experience--the Creator isn't in any hurry. He allows us our experiencing, our realization of the ultimate goal. We have as long as it takes, and He knows that ultimately we will return, for we are, remember, all different. He experiences different things through each of us. He learns and He perceives life through each of us from a slightly different point of view. When he puts it all together, He has a very balanced perspective on His experiencing.
We are, then, a part of His experience, no matter on what level we are currently functioning. The spiritual spark will always be functioning there.
The Monads will continue to work on the spiritual plane, no matter how close they are to the active cocreator state.
We as the children of light, we are extensions of those monadic experiences, those individualized sparks that are journeying toward being self-realized co-creators.
We experience, that they may learn. We learn, that they may experience. We are directly connected in a rather circular affect, as is all creation.
The circle is a symbol of unity, of wholeness, and see it reflected on every level of existence and between levels of existence.
We learn from our higher aspects, and they learn from us. We experience for them, and they learn from us. We learn from them, and they experience for us.
There are certain general patterns for each monadic experience that everyone partakes of, but everyone has his own individual interpretation of how to implement these general areas.
So we might say that the spiritual monadic experience is divided into several levels, and beyond it is the soul level. Beyond that is the journey into physical existence. Each of these general areas can be broken down into more divisions, and are.
Certain of these divisions, certain numbers, certain patterns are very important and add to the progress, to the focusing of a lesson in a specific way.
For example, the appropriate number of souls a monad sends down to experience is twelve. Why twelve? Because twelve is a very special symbol of the whole, and by experiencing in twelve different ways, the monad gets a very balanced experience.
Is it the same as cutting a pie into twelve pieces? No, not that simple.
First you cut the pie in twelve pieces, then you cut each piece in half, and perhaps again. Then you might blend some of the pieces together. You will still basically have twelve divisions, but each division contains pieces from some of the other twelve divisions too. The twelve enables the spiritual spark to get what it needs from a soul level.
Now, when you go beyond the soul level, that no longer holds true. You get into physical existence, in which there is much resistance.
The monad, then, is on a very special journey toward self-realization.
Now about Twin Souls or Soul Mates or Twin Flames?
Sometimes, at soul level--because of something that happened at a higher level--a soul chooses to divide; this is what we might call a twin soul. We also have talked about soul mates, or twin flames, but what we are really talking about here are souls that belong to the same monadic experience, no matter what the mechanical process is.
It might be a soul that, because of some condition the monadic level, has chosen to come down as one soul and then divide, or it might be a condition two souls that are attracted to one another because in a sense they represent a polarity within the monadic level--although that's a little misleading because each soul contains both polarities; it is a reflection up of what this condition would be in physical existence.
You see, it is more complicated than words can easily explain, but what you get with twin souls, soul mates, and twin flames is a knowingness that your patterns, your vibrations, fit together very well. You are very compatible because you have the same sort of vibratory pattern at a very high level. This is why may times it isn't appropriate for twin souls to meet on the Earth, but sometimes they do.
Now, this chapter does not state how many extensions of self there are, but I have read it in another book that their are about 144 extensions of self existing in various realities, dimensions of existence.
