Friday, Sep. 21, 2007 | As a fitting grand finale for the week, Mars in Gemini opposes Pluto in Sagittarius and Venus opposes Neptune a little later the day.
As Eric rightly noted in the Almanac, "This is an unusual synchronicity, suggesting a moment of reckoning with reality. This is an interesting setup, as Pluto is often considered a 'higher vibration' of Mars and Neptune a 'higher vibration' of Venus." This seems to be telling us something about trusting and believing in the higher power, that reigns over the Universe and resides deep within us. This where the primal meets the cosmic.
The theme of duality runs high, and we are reaching a fork in the road; there is no sitting on the fence any longer. We need to choose and stake claim to the values we are supporting. To me this energy feels paralyzing and compelling all at once. We are being challenged to open our eyes, to the paradoxically opposing sets of feelings and emotions running through.
There is passion, love, aggression, emotion and a deeply intoxicating, sexual vibe in the air today. It's also a matter of which frequency we are tuning in to. With Venus and Neptune there is the dreamy cloud setting in. This too can be extremely confusing. We may be tempted to look at situations through rose-tinted glasses, and there is the danger of projection, denial and a tendency to give in to drugs or other substances that take us further into the state of altered reality.
It may even be a fear that we are projecting. With all the disillusionment we have likely faced, it can be scary to actually hope. But isn't being scared, sacred in a way? Where we allow ourselves the permission to dream and love, even if we aren't sure of what is to come.
'
There are lovers and there are lovers, and there are those who see that special magic in us. Be careful of projecting all your dreams and wishes into something that is just an illusion. At best we are looking into the eyes of a soul mate, who is a mirror and reflects the truth in us. I know those are two contradictory statements -- but if we go deep, really deep, into our core, we will find the truth vibrates loud and clear. This IS a reality check.
Personally, this has been a strange week, with high highs and really low lows. I've been having some crazy dreams, and simply could not get myself to open my eyes this morning. All I wanted to do was crawl back under the covers. I had to seriously force myself to get out of bed.
Yesterday, my inbox was flooded with emails from readers telling me of the crazy week they've all been having. Yes this has been an intense one. The world as we know has changed, and it's hard to trust, in the face of everything that has just been wiped out of our lives.
Dreams do really come true, but for that we need to have the courage to live them in to reality. Believe in magic. It is possible.
