Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 | Venus sextiles Great Attractor, Mercury trines Uranus
Today is the last day of the Sun's journey through Scorpio. The Sun's passage through the last degrees of any sign is always a rather intense time, and in Scorpio it feels immensely like being 'on the verge of.' Heading towards the Gemini Full Moon, we can consider this a double dose. Right now, there is a distinct feeling of urgency and an underlying theme of duality to most situations.
With the Moon still in Aries, the Sun and Moon are both in signs ruled by Mars. No doubt, we are in action mode, but leave room for a few surprises. In aspects today, Mercury makes a serendipitous trine to Uranus in Pisces. Unexpected but welcome news should be on its way. This is also an aspect that can spell creative genius and the ability to see an out-of-this-planet solution to a nagging problem.
The fact that both planets are in water signs suggests this could also be a time when there is an unexpected revelation of deep feelings. Or it could be that the depth of our own emotions catches us by surprise. Either way, we can't really go wrong with communication today. It's easier to find the words, courage and spark to let 'it' flow.
Overnight, the Moon squared a retrograde Mars, suggesting we need to resolve our emotional insecurities and avoid projection. That's probably the biggest block to success at the moment. Also, shortly before the Mercury-Uranus trine, Venus sextiles the Great Attractor. This, to me, seems fiery, fanning the flames of what might start out as a small spark of passion or creativity.
As the Sun ingresses Sagittarius tomorrow, we are emerging from a complex journey of our very own personal abyss. We now stand on the threshold -- a time when we let go of fear, surrender to our higher consciousness, and then trust. I was going to say 'trust in what tomorrow will bring,' but now I want to say perhaps it's about learning to trust that we are in the perfect present. Trust that even what is difficult today is there for a reason and has something in it that we need to learn from.
Life is too transient to not be savoured.
