We are now in the dark of the Moon. The Libra new Moon takes place seconds after mid-night tonight here in the US (NYC) and heralds a new start for our relationships. Today the Sun conjuncts Psyche and sesquiquadrates Pallas, while Venus semisquares the Sun and opposes Pallas. With Venus now so close to her conjunction with Saturn and the South Node, combined with yesterdays steamy energy, it is time to push the boundaries of intimacy.
Relationships are definitely under a keen focus over the next few days, as are financial priorities and our creativity. Which, if you look closely, are all representative of the same basic Venusian essence, ruled by the heart. Often we make the mistake of considering our finances as something that we need to calculate 'cold-heartedly', or seeing it as a left brained issue -- at least I do. But the underlying issue is one of value, how much we value ourselves, our relationships, our ability to create the life the we want and ultimately our relationship with our creative source within.
Psyche is an asteroid that gives us the sense of a wound that won't heal. This conjunction with the Sun so close to the New Moon is a particularly poignant aspect. It is suggesting that we can truly expect things to be different this time around. Yes, we've been hurt and let down a hundred times before, but there is something to be said about the resilience of the heart. Relationships in our lives now have the potential to actually heal this wound, if we can only get out of our own way.
As Venus aspects the Sun and Pallas, we need to be careful in not letting past experience dictate how we deal with love, art and money now. Venus opposing Pallas gives us an image of having to look a little deeper, to know what it is that is truly standing in our way: whether it is a fear of being hurt, abandoned, rejected or possibly even the fear of actually being happy and getting everything we want. We are getting a glimpse and chance to change the patterns we have so carefully built.
Most importantly, with Pallas we get the message of negotiation. As we head into this new cycle of Venus and the Libra New Moon, we can now begin to create truly fulfilling relationships that are based on depth, integrity and comittment. We need to learn how to communicate our most important needs, while listening to the needs of another. This will lead us down the road of deeper understanding and a solid foundation for whatever is to come.
I know things have not been easy lately for most, but it is the New Moon tomorrow. If you haven't seen the signs yet, things are getting better. It's a matter of a little more faith and patience. In the meanwhile make a wish, it's not that random, and could very well come true.
