The month of December has two New Moons, which occurs every 18 months or so and provides the shift, (or in this case, the turning of the tide), and sequence of the New Moon and Full Moon in each month. December begins with a New Moon on the 1st. A Full Moon occurs mid month on the 15th, and a second New Moon on December 30th. Between the New Moons of the 1st and the 30th, will be many events that will open the channel locks to bring us to a new level before we can hit the last New Moon which opens the locks to our new seas.
The first New Moon is in Sagittarius at the same degree Mercury reached before turning retrograde on November 13th. The issues and situations that were sparked at that time will come back around to ignite the Mars / Jupiter intense oppositions, becoming the handles to turn the tide. As Jupiter in Scorpio drills for pockets of Truth below the surface, Mars in Taurus turns the crank to dig deeper and deeper for those pockets that are of value. Together, these two planets provide the turning of the tide that opens the channel locks for more information to pour in, raising us to new levels for our ultimate new directions.
The week of December 4th through December 10th becomes the intense time for turns and twists to open these channel locks for our new process to begin. Mars slows down late on the 9th and slowly begins to turn direct through the 10th. We will all be glad to have this pressure ease up a bit. However, once the intense turning eases, then the pace begins to pick up dramatically and we shoot into light speed.
On December 12th, Mercury moves into Sagittarius, providing a great deal of information that is hammering situations through the week, and at the same time collecting even more. On the 15th, the Full Moon in Gemini / Sagittarius promotes a high tide of information and whirling situations. We feel like we are drowning in all of this new information and the wind is whipping at our ears.
The additional aspect of the Sun connecting with powerful Pluto gives this information even stronger impact in our life. Pluto ignites the information that has previously been hidden below the surface and Pluto’s volcanic power explodes the underground pockets, causing a massive geyser.
We are ready to put all the information into some sort of organized format such as contracts, agreements, pacts and treaties as the Sun shifts into Capricorn on December 21st. Venus turns retrograde in Capricorn on the 24th, which requires we look at the documentation in front of us to determine the reality of the situations.
Once we begin to address these very real issues and bring about a plan to resolve and harmonize the situations, the second New Moon occurs on December 30th. This signals the completion of the turning of the tide as this New Moon in Capricorn provides the reality that the last channel lock is ready to open.
With all of the information that exploded into our life, we had to quickly and efficiently put it all into proper order for all things to be spelled out, with t’s crossed and i’s dotted. The last day of the year brings forward this information which ignites powerful Pluto into the fireworks of information. As information begins to explode in the sky, so much more Truth becomes visible as our new pathway is lit with the fireworks of Truth. We can finally power away into the open seas from the channel locks that have created our transition and passage into 2006.

December is universally a ONE month, providing new directions, new energies and new goals. December also turns the tide for many situations that have been highlighted throughout the year.
Because December has two New Moons representing new beginnings, on December 1st and December 30th, the emphasis of new beginnings take on a whole new meaning. December’s new beginnings bring in the events needed to open the door to 2006, universally an EIGHT year.
The change from 2005 to 2006 makes December the pivotal month for bringing our inner depth and values from the SEVEN year of 2005 to integrate into the active business oriented year of 2006. As successfully as we faced the challenging events that the SEVEN year has provided, the equivalent of outer success will begin with the turning of the tide in December. To give us the situations needed to transition from the SEVEN into the EIGHT, we will bring forward our strength, power and determination.
Whatever our personal year has been during the SEVEN year, represents the qualities that we had to grow and value in the midst of the intensity of the SEVEN year. Now with our Inner Treasure intact, we move into the extroverted EIGHT year of 2006 to integrate this Inner Treasure into our life. With the activities of 2006 on the horizon, we will be able to sail full speed ahead, with the wind of inner strength at our backs and a ready awareness at the helm.
New beginnings provide new openings readying us to move into different gears on December 9th, 18th, and 27th. New information blows massive changes into our life on December 4th, 13th, 22nd and 31st. We need to be flexible and ready to deal with information coming out of the blue. Challenging situations occur on the 6th, 15th, and 24th, with major results being announced the very next day on the 7th, 16th and 25th.
December activities point to the areas that open the channel locks for major opportunities that are coming with the changing of the tide. We begin to see the custom made path that is evolving as the flood gates of information fill and bring us to new levels. The open seas are beckoning us. This time during the channel locks becomes the transition from 2005 to 2006 and opens the way for us to bring our values and deeper perspective into our outer world.
