Shortly after midnight on the east coast of the US, Venus trines Uranus, and asteroid Amor forms a conjunction to Uranus shortly thereafter. The influence of planetary links is generally strongest as they build toward an exact aspect, but Uranus is unpredictable, and there could yet be an unexpected release of energy.
I missed this one entirely in yesterday's blog, but developments in relationships still have the potential to surprise, if they haven't already. Deep, passionate emotion could find the courage to burst forth now. With Amor and Uranus, there's also something here about re-defining our boundaries, or the conditions that we place on love. We may have to make an internal adjustment to a radical new way of being and relating. It may be time to realize that the walls we so carefully build to protect ourselves from disappointment often become the same walls that cage us from experiencing and receiving love.
In major news of the day, the energy shifts as Jupiter ingresses earthy Capricorn -- after spending a year in its ruling sign of Sagittarius. This has been an intense period, to say the least, amplifying and bringing to a crescendo all the lessons we learned during the Pluto-in-Sagittarius period of the past 12 years.
During this past year Jupiter has been pushing us to see beyond our horizons, toward a brighter vision of how we want our lives to be. At best, we should be feeling renewed purpose, an understanding that most of what limits us is our own false beliefs, a greater sense of compassion in our personal relationships and an ascension towards a higher collective consciousness.
Sagittarius is also the sign of flight, while Capricorn brings us back to earth. Now we are in a period when we get to manifest our visions of the world on the earthly plane. This is also the sign of commerce and business, ruling the 10th house that is representative of career and one's place in the world. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, suggests that the way to benefit from Jupiter's generosity during this period is through hard work, dedication and integrity.
Also today, interestingly right at the time of Jupiter's sign change, we see a cluster of poignant aspects taking place. Mercury conjuncts the Galactic Core, Atlantic trines Neptune, and Juno conjuncts Hylonome. There is obviously some very important message coming through, but this may feel a little overwhelming. Mentally, we should be running at an all-time high right now, with thoughts and ideas streaming in. Write these down; they will provide an important blueprint for the coming year.
Atlantis and Neptune, though, offer a word of caution. One of the themes of Atlantis can be the abuse of information and technological power. And Neptune -- well, we all know Neptune can be a bit slippery. The fact that the aspects coincide with Jupiter's sign change is again drawing our attention to the absolute need for integrity in the way we conduct our business, personal or otherwise. I just had a thought to say that with Mercury on the GC, if you have a hunch today that someone is not being completely forthright, then I would look into it, although without being falsely presumptuous or accusatory.
I would also keep my eyes on the news: Jupiter in Capricorn is highlighting the government and bigger corporations. Then again, when was the last time we could really trust either of them? But even so, something smells a little fishy to me.
The Juno-Hylonome aspect is an interesting one, and just last night Eric was showing me the notes on Hylonome that he was putting together for the Annual. We need to keep a check on self-pity at the moment, as well as resentment. Hylonome is representative of mostly self-inflicted wounds that stem from long-engrained family patterns and that we continue to contaminate our relationships with. Juno's strength is her loyalty, as long as we don't keep score.
Given all the aspects, the relationships we are building now require a strong level of integrity, honesty, equality. Don't allow your past dramas to replay and direct the course of your present commitments. Communication needs to come through a spirit of awareness of our core beings. Be guided by the wisdom that speaks in whispers.
