Friday, Sep. 28th, 2007 | Mars in Cancer, Moon in Taurus
We are easing down from the high fiery energy of the past few days, as the Moon ingresses earthy Taurus. This is where the Moon is exalted, our emotions are grounded, and we are most in tune with nature's rhythms. There is a bit of stability now, hopefully indulgence and leisure even. But most importantly, we can slow down a little from the sense of urgency we've been experiencing, and use this time to ruminate on what we have learnt.
As Mars ingresses Cancer, we are likely to focus energy on the well being of our family, our home and surroundings. With the Moon representing the mother and being the ruler of Cancer, I feel especially, mothers could be a concern. If you haven't spoken with your mother in a while, now would be a good time to do so. With Mars also squaring the Aries Point, we could see developments on the global front. With the incessant war afoot, perhaps mothers could be in the news in some way.
A few other expressions of this placement, could be an insatiable craving, increased appetite, deep nourishment, fierce protectiveness, deep emotional desire or yearning, a longing for security. We just want some place we can call home, and rest our hearts awhile.
Overnight the Sun sesquiquadrates Neptune, later Vesta trines Eris; also, Mercury now in the first degree of Scorpio sesquiquadrates Uranus. Pay particular attention to any dreams you might have had overnight. Lingering bits of information that didn't make it through in the tangible world, are making themselves known. It could be a subconscious process that we work out as dreams and/or a particular revealing piece of information could be about to make it's way. There's more to this story.
Vesta, the asteroid speaks of the use of space, home and hearth, the central fireplace, the source of creative and sexual energy that heals. A ritual around the home space could help clear the air, bringing in fresh energy. Sexual energy could also be a very healing, and liberating experience -- more so than usual.
Time seems to be spiraling faster. Sometime between the eclipses, one evening as I was on the roof writing the blog, I had a moment. The kind that you "know" you are having, and is significant but don't know why at the time; and I remember writing, saying I was feeling impatient and the cosmos needs time to work it's magic. Well, the eclipses have passed and I feel like the recently past Aries Full Moon that just passed. A child full of curiosity about this new world that surrounds me. I know a many of you share my sentiment.
