Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 | Pisces Moon
Buckle up everybody--we have a big week coming up. Here are the highlights of the week (or you can just skip to the third paragraph to see what's going on today): Tomorrow the Sun ingresses Scorpio, setting the tone for the Venus - Uranus opposition which is followed closely by the Taurus Full Moon at mid-week. Also this week, retrograde Mercury makes a conjunction to the Sun right before re-entering Libra.
Meanwhile, today the Pisces Moon opposes Venus and conjuncts Uranus. Overnight, she also made a conjunction to the North Node and an opposition to Saturn, who is now approaching his conjunction to the South Node. Also today, the Sun semisquares the Great Attractor, while Mercury sextiles Vesta.
As Luna aspects Venus and Uranus today, there may be a swell of deep, unpredictable emotion. We are extremely intuitive and sensitive; today may give us a helpful glimpse into what's coming up later, around the time of the Full Moon on Wednesday. If anything, it will be hard to deny what we feel, at least to ourselves, even if we aren't yet quite ready to share it.
Due to the Moon's conjunction to the North Node, this is a time when we are likely to be feeling the unmistakable pull of destiny. But the opposition to Saturn, as it approaches the South Node, can feel a little heavy at the least. We are especially aware of all that holds us back, pulling us back to the nitty-gritty reality.
We need to now deal with what we must and then follow on to pursue the higher dream. Saturn is only there to help us separate the fantasy from the reality. But looked at another way, isn't it all an illusion? We might as well take care of the 'reality' the best we can while daring to conjure our wildest dreams -- they are, after all, the blueprint of our ability to manifest.
On its last day in Libra, the Sun semisquares the Great Attractor. A semisquare, I feel, gives us the opportunity to make corrections along the way to completion. We may suddenly get an alternate view of the conundrum surrounding a relationship. Not all the facts are in yet, and this is just a piece of the puzzle, albeit an important one.
A quick update on my very 'Aquarian' weekend surrounded by family and community. It was great to see people I hadn't seen in years, to laugh, talk, reminisce and reconnect. The wedding was a beautiful ceremony and brought back a lot of memories. It was exactly eight years ago when I got married, and I found myself churning with poignant emotion, but definitely no regrets.
Finally we caught the train back to the city on Sunday afternoon, along with a couple of family friends that I grew up with. We ended up going to their place in Chelsea, where we had a beautiful Dassera Puja before we finally trekked back home. All in all, I would say it was a weekend I will remember. Hope yours was, too.
We are coming up on a lot of activity, as you can see, and certainly not for the faint hearted. Over the next few weeks, we are in the thick of Scorpio season, a time for re-learning that true liberation can only come from surrender, and a time to remember that no amount of darkness can take away the light in our being.
