Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007 | Venus trines Pluto
Venus has now almost completely emerged from her shadow phase. Today Venus makes her third and final trine to Pluto, from Leo, this year. The first aspect took place on the Jul. 8, 2007, a few weeks before Venus turned retrograde, and the second (with Venus retrograde) on Aug. 15, 2007. We could see a re-emergence of themes from these dates.
Due to the length of its orbit Venus returns to retrograde position at nearly the same degree of the zodiac once in every eight years. We might have experienced this in some ways, as themes from 1999 might have re-emerged; or if you can think further back to the last time which was in 1991. Personally, they have been extremely revealing phases in my life, where I have learned some of my biggest lessons about life and love, what it does and does not mean.
This transit of Venus retrograde through Virgo and Leo has been a deep reevaluation of core issues and values. Leo rules the heart, as does Venus; this transit has caused us to rediscover the fiery courage in our hearts, and sweep clear the cobwebs of old patterns, ideas and beliefs. Although this time may have seemed fraught with delays and just missed agreements regarding love and money, we have only been learning what we most value and why. Hopefully this has helped us in being a little bolder and confident about our desires, even if they are only our truths. Only once we can be authentic in and to ourselves can we expect to present that to another. We have travelled this path twice before and now at the third and final pass, we are finally about to get it right.
With Venus and Pluto in fire signs this energy can be romantic but in that sizzling crackling sort of way, rather than the dreamy haze of Neptune. This aspect is asking us to find the fiery courage and passion within to push just a little bit harder, and over the peak. Pluto transforms, and transforms completely, and if we are able to respond well to this energy, we have will shifted something forever.
We are also now at the Quarter Moon; it is time for a review. The Aries Full Moon taught us a thing or two about maintaining autonomy while still being able to relate with the needs of another. We are heading towards the New Moon in Libra, which brings the focus back on our relationships, allowing us a fresh start taking all that we have learned in these very weeks. We will soon be looking back upon THESE very days, as the time everything changed -- for the better.
Remember faith can move mountains. I will leave you with the Oracle for now, and catch you tomorrow.

== Archive Quote (From the Oracle)
"Now that you've been run through the Hall of Mirrors, I would propose that it's time to bring everyone in your life to the contract negotiation table. You've had a good look at yourself. You've been honest, perhaps brutally honest. You have, very likely, seen the ways you made people out to be something other than they were; the ways in which you held people to their past, and allowed them to hold you to yours. Okay, honoring commitment is a form of integrity. But commitment, to be meaningful, needs to be based in reality, and it needs to be flexible. Most of all, it needs to be mutual. There are many small things you would not do if you held yourself to the larger guiding principles you treasure and value. Try this for a while and you'll see a whole bunch of the famous "ambivalence" of Librans disappear like smoke."
