Monday, Sep. 24, 2007 | Hello everyone, and happy Monday! Hopefully the weekend has given us the space to regain our balance from the drama of last week. That heightened energy dredged up all the issues that we would normally dismiss or deny. (Take it from someone who has her natal Pluto opposing a Venus-Mars conjunction: I know... I live with this everyday...) Although the intensity of the upcoming Aries Full Moon is upon us, there is an extremely healing vibe in the air now.
We are past the equinox, and the Sun, now in Libra, is putting our relationships front and center. The Moon ingresses Pisces today, injecting a dreamier rush of blood. Overnight, Psyche in Libra trined Chiron in Aquarius. Also in effect, Juno in Scorpio trines a retrograde Pallas in Pisces, and Mercury sextiles the Galactic Core after sextiling Pluto yesterday.
Psyche gives us the sense of a wound that won't heal -- in Libra it points most obviously to our relationships. How often do we allow past failures to stand in the way of future happiness? Simply being aware of this can make space for awareness to fill the craters in our hearts.
Juno, currently in Scorpio, speaks of the divides in our relationships -- it can tend to highlight the one thing that stands in the way of an otherwise utterly fulfilling relationship. In aspect with Pallas, and with both planets in water signs, this connection signals a pouring out of emotion. If we allow ourselves to feel deeply, then somewhere in that swirl of feelings we can perhaps dissolve defenses and merge into the divine forces that bind us.
I was up on my roof this evening with a 'friend' (I say friend, but although we've known each other for about 3 years, I think this was the first time we have actually hung out), enjoying a spontaneous, gorgeous, end-of-summer evening together. We had food, wine, music, candles and an amazing conversation under the stars (a sensory delight for a bull). It's amazing how little we know about people sometimes until we actually listen.
Anyway, the reason I even bring this up is to share a little tidbit with you that I thought was simply amazing. Turns out my friend's friend has a daughter who is four years old. On a fishing trip this summer, the little girl found herself waiting with her father in a line of people queued up for worm bait. At this point the girl (who is FOUR; did I mention that?) turns to her father and says, "Dad, there are two things you should know about me... I don't like to wait, and I don't like to share."
When she told me this, I immediately figured that this child must be a little old soul. It wasn't what she said (although I have to agree with her on the "I don't like to wait" bit), but the fact that she was cognizant enough, and articulate enough, to state her truth. This kind of awareness is not always easy. Infinite wisdom spawns from purity and innocence. Now if only we all could take a clue from her.
Coming back to the astrology (which is why I began this story), Mercury sextiling the Core today, after exacting its aspect to Pluto yesterday, says, "Speak. Speak your truth, and it will be heard."
