Hello All,
Full Moon fever is officially upon us. The Aries Moon exacts its opposition to the Libra Sun at 2:45 PM here in NYC. The recent New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Virgo brought with it change, yes definitely, but also and more importantly, hope. Also today, Mercury in Libra trines Mars and semisquares the Great Attractor. There is an energy, passion, release, revelation, discovery. I am pregnant with thought; there is a lot running through my mind right now, so this going to be a long one. But first let's touch base with the astrology.
At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are on exactly opposite sides of the zodiac, with us at the center. If the Sun is the life-force and ego, the Moon is the deeper subconscious and soul. It is the light of the Sun that is reflected in the glory of the Full Moon. All is revealed, yes without the Sun there would BE no moonlight. But without the Moon, all the light of the Sun would be useless at the darkest hour -- when we need it the most.
When rationality and logic fails, we need to rely on our gut and deeper instincts to guide us. It's the attraction, sense of completion and wholeness, you feel when you meet someone of the opposite sign. There is also all the feeling of tension and confrontation, because nothing can be hidden anymore. Light forces the darkness out of the shadows, this is when we confront our demons and are healed, all at once.
In Libra, the Sun is telling us something about the way we consciously relate with one another, while the Moon in Aries suggests our personal emotional needs. Aries is the baby of the zodiac, impetuous, determined, passionate yet with childlike innocence -- that is always willing to believe that tomorrow is a new day. Libra is all about balance -- which is what relationships are about anyway, aren't they? Balancing our needs with that of another.
For a relationship to really 'work' it has to be equal; it's when the scales start tipping that we have resentment, bitterness, alienation, and isolation arise. How can we be equal partners, with each reflecting and being receptive to our deepest most personal emotional needs, while allowing another the space for theirs. We now need to nurture ourselves, and the people we love. With Mercury trining Mars, we are getting a chance to express these basic, primal, NATURAL, needs in words. Stay true.
Ok, so I admit, I hardly ever watch TV, But I happened to turn it on today for some reason, just in time for Oprah. I had no clue what the subject was -- but turns out the show was right on cue. It was about everything Eric, and so many others have been bravely and courageously doing in their own quiet way.
It was about sex, erotica, how peoples views are changing on relationships, open relationships, and she interviewed a polyamorous couple. This is old news here at Planet Waves, so I won't even bother getting into it. But the fact that it is now hitting main stream media, the collective consciousness is opening up. This is one expression of Mercury trining Mars at the Full Moon. We are ready to receive the truth, as it is revealed.
Me personally, I am capable of and need to be in a sexually monogamous relationship. But that's just me. I am fully capable of accepting and KNOW that everyone loves and lives in their own way. I will quote one of my favorite lines from The God of Small Things again... "Who was it that decided, who we could love? How? and How much?" We are each of us supremely unique expressions of the 'One' -- the collective consciousness, cosmic ocean, God whatever you want to call it. Our needs are unique and we are all children at heart.
I know there are many out there, still a little raw. Allow yourself the time to lick your wounds, be willing to ask for the space you need. As I always remind myself and all of you, we are all under the influence of the same astrology, the same stars and the same sky that holds all of the Universe within it. We also need to recognize the need to allow another to take that space, if they need it. In supporting each other's independence, we can truly bond and connect.
My heart is as full as the Harvest Moon tonight, and I send out my prayers, love and light to all of you. Live your truth. Happy Full Moon!

For everyone who wrote to me yesterday, as you can see I am not done blogging. In fact I may update later... I am still tuned in. Although again, today's Oracle right from the DATE (for personal reasons) astounds me.
