Get ready to shift gears yet again. Mercury now stationary, resumes direct motion tomorrow and conjuncts Psyche in Libra today. Also today, Neptune (19+ Aquarius) stations direct, after being retrograde for about six months (since May 24, 2007); and Pallas (0+ Pisces) also stations direct. The Moon ingresses Leo at 11:51 PM NYC just in time for bewitching hour.
With three major planets resuming direct motion, so closely times with one another we are likely to feel the difference in energy more acutely. Pallas has been retrograde since July 5, 2007, suggesting a time of dissolving inner defenses, that stand in the way of intuitive emotion.
Mercury's retrograde phase through Scorpio and Libra has taken us on a deep journey; making us face our fears, and deepest desires regarding our most intimate relationships. We've been shedding the layers of our mind, and worn out ideas about what we truly need to create a fulfilling balance. More importantly though, this has been a time of communicating to another, that which we are discovering deep within ourselves.
Again the focus is on an honest discussion, without which nothing much can ever get resolved. With Juno on my Ascendant, Jupiter in Gemini in my 7th house, and a Moon, Mercury, Chiron conjunction in Taurus, personally I undeniably need to be able to talk it out. How else is anyone supposed to know what we are thinking or want (especially, considering we barely do.) And the quickest way to screwing up a good relationship is "assuming" what the other is thinking, or "assuming" that they can read our minds.
If we can't dare to ask for what we need, how can we ever expect to get it. Of course it would help if we got what we wanted without having to ask, but it's too much to expect. As Eric rightly noted in a recent weekly edition of Planet Waves, Mercury's retrograde transit as it dipped back into Libra has been about taking the deep seated emotional discoveries we made, and use them to open the channels of communication. Indeed if the person in front of us doesn't want to share their feelings our hear ours. We need to ask ourselves if we are in the right place.
Today as Mercury conjuncts Psyche, we may discover a piece of information that releases us from the sense of woundedness we might be feeling in a particular relationship. Share what you are learning and be open and willing to talk. With Mercury stationary, it may be hard to find the words, but go gently and by the time of the New Moon in Scorpio, Mercury will be out of echo phase and everything that seems so exasperating now, will be smoother sailing.
Neptune retrograde phase has suggested a time of aligning our dreams with our core inner vision. This is the planet that offers us the gift of imagination and a glimpse into the vast ocean of cosmic consciousness. It is now time to manifest some of this power, and allow our fantasies to bloom.
We are almost at the Last Quarter of the Moon, and today is Halloween, or the pagan holiday of Samhain (or Sahwen, as Eric likes to call it.) It is a festival when rituals are performed for the dead and spirits, represented by the 8th house, in Scorpio season. It is balanced at the opposite point of the wheel in by Beltane, the festival of life and fertility, represented by Taurus.
As we approach midnight, the Moon ingresses Leo at 11:51 PM EDT and coincindes with a conjunction between Venus and Arachne. This is suggesting an unravelling of a deep mystery regarding love that may have plagued us for a while. They say, this is time when the veil between this world and the next, is the thinnest. Perhaps this holds true for living hearts, and souls as well. Astrologically, we are definitely on the verge of dissolving boundaries and moving towards light.
Dare to let the magic in tonight. Happy Halloween!
