Solar Flares in the Red lately and there have been some power outages across the globe I am wondering if they are related. I know in my area we had power outages Sept. 26-27th this week. Power goes out. Then few mins late goes out again. At first is was seperated by hours. Then it came to a cresendo of rapid order, one after another only seperated by mere mins. Then that was it. I know the town about 15mins away from me had power problems too. I went to work and we had a lot of electrical issues. With the power going on and off like that.

Anyways I thought I'd comment. I don't know if the solar flares were related to this but we still have yet to have an answer here atleast to why we had problems. For about a period of 12 hours or so.

Hey Ed, it seems to me it's perfectly possible. Check out this article: Solar Storms, By Sten Odenwald I found that was written in 1999! I've read many articles over the last few years that talk of this, but it seems no one is wanting to be definitive about it all "officially".
