Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings everyone,
It’s Christmas Eve and aside from the usually loaded expectations of the season we have an intense sky. Today the Sun conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. It definitely seems like we’ve reached the end of the road with a situation. We can no longer build castles in the air.
Let go of old ideas, boundaries and structures in order to evolve. Pluto doesn’t really give us an option. Either we surrender willingly or the choices are made for us. In conjunction to the Sun it represents a personal transformation to the core.
Pluto represents the subconscious mind. It is said to rule the darker aspects of the psyche. It is what we are suppressing that ultimately controls us. But if we can become conscious and face up to our fears, then darkness disappears with a single ray of light. This is the alchemical process of Pluto. It always leaves something pristine behind, stripping the rest away to dust.
Rules surrounding sex and intimacy are likely the focus. In Capricorn, look at how your parents' or society's values subconsciously color your own and dictate your current choices. Dismantle them consciously, rather than watch something based on superficial values collapse later. If we want to move forward we will have to let go of the past.
On Christmas day we have an Aries Moon trine Mars in Leo. If we are able to do our share of letting go, this energy can help release spontaneous passion. Allowing us to take a risk, or simply at least relax enough to enjoy the joy of the season in spite of the intensity.
Given the aspects now this is likely to be a Christmas to remember. With Mercury due to station retrograde on Dec. 26, 2009, expect a few revelations over the next few days. We’re likely to be renegotiating a lot of agreements as it turns retrograde.
Meanwhile, Venus is currently in the final degrees of Sagittarius. She enters Capricorn mid-day on Christmas Day, grounding us with a dose of practicality after the fiery energy of Sagittarius. It could prove to be a luxurious Christmas after all. Venus in Capricorn likes to spend money and appreciates the finer things. But at the heart of it all is recognizing the value of something that only gets better with time, like a fine wine.
When it comes to love or money, invest in that which you know will appreciate in value over time. It may mean that we work hard for it and be willing to commit to something. But over time the rewards will far exceed the cost.
Venus will conjunct Pluto on Sunday Dec. 28. 2009. Financial and sexual relationships are due to be undergoing a profound transformation asking us to let go of superficial pretenses, values and rules. The strongest foundations are always built on love. For only love is indestructible in essence.
I will be back here over the weekend. In the meanwhile please read this blog. Also if you feel so inspired you can make a contribution to support this blog at the PayPal link to the left.
Here’s wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season. May it be every bit as magical as you would dare to dream…
