Hi friends, The Full Moon in Pisces occurred on Friday September 4 @ 12:03pm EDT. You probably noticed it. I did. For 3 or 4 days this past week, the Moon woke me up in the middle of the night. The light was so bright, it was like a street lamp had been suddenly switched on outside my window. Moonlight is so beautiful - silvery and soft - and it's always a surprise to me that the Full Moon can light up the night (or a room) like that.
With all that Light streaming in, the Full Moon brings Full Illumination concerning what we started at the New Moon (in this case, the New Moon in Leo on August 20). The Full Moon is a time to celebrate, to bring things to fruition, to take them out into the light of night.
In addition, as most of us know, the Full Moon can make people a little, um, looney-tunes. The tidal pull on our watery emotions can bring feelings to the surface at this time. The Full Moon is "a period of excess when everything in nature brims over. Emotions, psychic energy, physiological activity - everything is at its maximum. This is the time of increased creativity, but if you are prone to high blood pressure, epilepsy or over-excitement" this can be a nerve-wracking time. (lunarium.co.uk) So, take it easy out there. This particular Full Moon kicks off an important month from an astrological perspective. First of all, on Monday September 7, Mercury will go retrograde (I'm sure you've heard about that little phenomenon by now). Merc will continue in an (apparent) backward motion until September 29. Just take some time to review the details in your life this month; make some extra time in your schedule if at all possible - some breathing room in case of snafus and glitches - and you'll be fine.
Quicksilver Mercury's backward motion does cast a backward-looking wash over the entire month. And that is the backdrop of the 3rd historical face-off between the planets Saturn and Uranus. This event occurs on Tuesday September 15. I have posted some information on this here at my blog. And you will find some information below as well.
Pluto is also throwing his hat into the ring this month with an about-face and more plowing forward into his new home for the next 16 years: Capricorn. This adds intensity to the whole process and injects a bit more of the tendency toward destruction of any institution not built on integrity. (See full newsletter for more on this subject.)
