My son and daughter-in-law welcomed their first born yesterday. Samuel Buckley Cohen was born at 3.54 pm after 64 hours of labour and in the end they did not even make it to the hospital. So he was born at home with midwives. He's 7 lbs 15 oz and absolutely gorgeous.
He was born with one arm up with his head, a little bit harder for mom to push you out that way I imagine. Either he really wanted out or he was using Obama's salute 'yes we can' with his arm up.
Love and hugs, Marlies

AWWWW!!! I saw a pic of him at your site, Marlies, he is just beautiful! Now... is it me, or do the recent babies being born look so much more ALERT and AWARE almost instantly? He looks like he could have been here already for a few weeks, do you know what I mean? Be ready, Grandma, you have a Child of the New Earth in your family now! Tons of love and congrats and hugs Sowelu
