This song seems to be enjoying a revival on the inside of me , so I thought I'd share it for anyone else who remembers it...
Shambala Three Dog Night (Daniel Moore)
Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain With the rain in Shambala Wash away my sorrow, wash away my shame With the rain in Shambala
[Chorus:] Ah, ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind On the road to Shambala Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind On the road to Shambala
[Chorus]
How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala
I can tell my sister by the flowers in her eyes On the road to Shambala I can tell my brother by the flowers in his eyes On the road to Shambala
[Chorus]
How does your light shine, in the halls of Shambala

*heehee* I totally forgot I could do this, but now that I've remembered, here's a YouTube video of a live performance of the song, in '75, I believe.
(This is a different video than the one I originally posted, that one was removed from youtube due to terms violations or something)
It made it to number 3 on the charts in '73, if I remember correctly... I was 11 years old. My family used to spend every summer for many years at the beach on Fire Island, NY. This song brings me back to those wonderful days by the Atlantic sea...

LOL!! I KNOW! When I did the calculating, I couldn't believe it was 35 years ago!! I realized we probably have members who weren't even born yet... and for many more years after it was a hit! ACK! *heehee*

HaHaHa pretty young hippie boys, real hippies! LOL Makes me kind of semi-sweet sad to think back to then and see my life now. I was 22 and ripe and ready for life; there was hope and woo woo was something I did all by myself and had no one at all around me to talk to. I was excited and terrified all in one bundle and really about 80% fucked up at that. And now...almost 60 and who the heck ever even heard about 60 when you were 22? And now...I want my own RV and I'm waiting to go back into diapers. :-( And now...about 80% fucked up still. Sigh... don't even ask about the 'hope' part or the woo woo.
