Yikes, Mir-RA!
I checked up some dream interp on the signficance of back (I know this is not a dream but.. life is a dream, isn't it anyway?!):
"To dream of your back, represents your attitudes, strengths, burdens and stance in the world. It may also relate to stress and pressure that someone is putting on you.
To see a naked back in your dream, symbolizes secrets that you may have kept from others or aspects of yourself that you have kept hidden and shielded away. Consider the pun, "watch your back!"; this dream may be telling you to do just that. Traditionally, seeing a back in your dream, forewarns that you should not lend money to anyone. In particular, lending money to friends will cause a rift in your relationship."

This could be a past problem, that is symbolic to an old(impression of the past).I would rid myself of any old routines that aren't beneficial.

Mirra so sorry to hear that you have back problems. There is no need to explain everything in metaphysical terms as this could be just your body acting up and in need of attention. Do you stretch or do any exercises that strengthen your back? I think most people need those exercises as they sit a lot these days. I find doing any exercises that strengthen back very beneficial as this is main channel through which your energy runs.

Thanks guys for all the responses. Funny about dreams you mention Liza. The night before my back went down I dreamt that a kangaroo wanted to bite off my right foot. Frankly, I don't feel any better with the medication I am currently taking. The Doctor said he will show me some exercises to strengthen my back. I guess since I work sitting all day my back and my bones are out of shape. Guess the body is starting to show its age. LOL! I'm holding on tight...my birthday plans are ruined, so I will just stay home and relax and make it up some other day///

Mir-RA, do you think you are dealing with an abnormally high amount of stress that your body/IC is just complaining about? It could be from dealing with abnormal circumstances and situations... Like Nicole asked earlier if we could help relieve your burdens. Hope the doc/chirapactor helps. What does Louise Hay have to say about this as well? I don't have her book.. but I ordered a couple to arrive by early October.

My first sense was that perhaps you're continuing to do things in the old way, and it's time to let go. Major shifts in my own life are often accompanied by back pain. The life force/kundalini needs to rise to the heart, and the longer we hold on, relating to the world from that 2nd chakra, the worse the low back pain gets. Well, in my experience, anyway. Blessings and healing to you, MirRA! Love you! Sowelu

sending you healing hon. i think there is an element of truth in everything that has been said, to be honest. but based on personal experience of back pain recently, i think also tht you are, too, correct in that it could be tht the body is just beginning to play up through age. awful, isnt it!
have you tried an ice-pack against it? i find that helps me.
blessings, sama

Thanks Guys!
I AGREE, IT COULD BE THAT i AM HOLDING ON TO THE OLD. This is what I found in a the dream dictionary: ________________- Kangaroo To see a kangaroo in your dreams, refers to maternal and paternal protection. You may be expressing your nurturing and mothering nature. Alternatively, a kangaroo may symbolize aggression.
To dream that a kangaroo attacks you, foretells that false accusations will damage and jeopardize your reputation.
The Bite:
Bitten/Bites To see bites in your dream, forewarns of danger from someone who has wished you harm, either physical or monetary. Be careful of people who surround you.
To dream that you are being bitten, represents your vulnerability regarding your unresolved issues emotions. You may be pestered by a problem or obstacle.
it mention unresolve issues, this sounds right and I also do feel like I am carrying a heavy load as I try to take on too much.

MirRa - once you have sorted out your unresolved issues, get yourself a proper backstretcher. they are wonderful! you lie on them, and they relax the vertebrae, and make such a difference!

MirRa,
I'm so sorry you are in pain honey. I had back surgery back in 1988, for scoliosis. I have two metal rods fused to my spine and i'll have them for life. I do have some good exercises/stretches to suggest for you, to use in conjunction with any energy work you are doing/receiving.
One of the best ones is to lay flat on the ground, pull your knees up bent, and then use your pelvic thruster *grin* to flatten your spine to the floor. Hold for 60 seconds then release. Do this repeatedly for a few minutes each day. It will really hurt a lot i'm afraid, but what you want to do is strengthen your abdominal muscles to help take some of the strain off your back.
You can also do this exercise standing against a wall. Bend your knees ever so much and then pelvic tilt your back against the wall flat, and hold.
As with any back stretching I urge you to be gentle and not to push it. The back is a receptor for so many stresses, both physical and emotional. Our spine goes right through our being, holding the Kundalini energy, and if we have blockages or past life issues to work through they can manifest as some serious pain.
I'm sending you a warm blue light to envelop your spine, bringing a nice vibration of soothing comfort.
My thoughts are with you, I hope you feel better soon honey.
Much Love, Destra
