Hey All!! Just thought I'd make a post about our recent server troubles... Yes, the ProBoards server that hosts Earth Council went down yesterday, and was limping toward a break down the day before (I guess no one - not even our internet server - was spared in feeling the energies of the eclipse, eh?  ). A dedicated Martyn Dale from the ProBoards support team was up all night working on our server troubles and has got it back up and running. He tells me that it may be slow to access and use at first, as he is going to shift some boards around to ease the load on server 23 (our server). While I know it's annoying not being able to get in here at will, I sure hope we didn't permanently lose anyone during this latest bit of trouble!  WELCOME BACK to us all!   Love, Sowelu

Since I don't get on the web during evening hours, I really didn't know we were having problems. Duh! Hahahahaha! But I imagine those who do come in and found there was trouble, hope they keep trying as things seem normal today.
I wanted to share that since Tues. I have seen 7 dragon flies cross my path, all of them were of the same color; yellow...wonder what that means.
I feel better today and just yesterday was when I recalled there was an eclipse going on...
Hopefully we will be moving into new areas now, since this sort of eclipse was three years ago.

Yes not only did the boards go down yesterday in honor of he eclipse but among other computer related things one of my computers lost a hard drive. My main one. Thanks to the higher beings I had a recent back up and my amazing tech was able to recover all data. But alas, I have to buy a new hd. so now with the new 80 gb drive and the new 1024 gb of ram I am adding to the existing 256 gb of ram I will have a freakin' bomb over here! YAY!
I got just a little paranoid over the boards going down yesterday as so many'alternative' sites are often 'removed' from the internet. so am muchly relieved to see y'all here.
I have a suggestion and am not sure how to implement it but maybe Sowelu the computer whiz does.
I only had one person's email address and that was only because I have had it for years. In the event that the boards do shut down again for any reason it would be nice to be able to be in touch with people.
Although this is a worldwide group and a virtual one, I know I for one feel very close to everyone here and want to be able to stay in contact outside of the boards in the event of an emergency...if you know what I mean.
Is there a way to have a voluntary email list that we can exchange among ourselves? not on the boards for the sake of privacy but between us? All who choose to place there addresses on it should be protected from public spamming as much as possible. And then at least we can get hold of one another as the need may arise.
Sowey, whadya think?

I saw a dragonfly or two in the last few days as well...only the ones I saw were in the jaws of my cats. [grim, very grim]. it was too late to do anything for them. :-( But on the bright side we have no cockroaches. :-)
