Let's have a Limmerick contest for St Patty's Day (March 17)! I think Limmericks are a barrel of fun and I bet we all can come up with some doozys!
In case you don't know how to start, here is the way they go:
A A B B A
Or a more comprehensive way to look at it is this:
Rhyme 1 (long) Rhyme 1 (long) Rhyme 2 (short) Rhyme 2 (short) Rhyme 1 (long)
Basically, lines 1 & 2 & 5 should rhyme and have the same amount of syllables, and lines 3 & 4 should do the same.
Here's one for starters...
Earth Council's a place on the net Where you can get your feet wet We think it's the most When you make a post And tons of replies you may get!
;D

Oh my! I am no good at this. Maybe I can give it a try.
Once there were many single ladies. Who loved to wave their hankies. They would drop them So men would fetch them. Resulting in having babies.

*gigglesnort* is one of my favoritest words/things!
I had a dear friend many years ago whose son was only 4 yrs old, and I used to play with him every chance I'd get. His Mom was less "free" that way and new to the country, not knowing other Moms or children, so she was delighted when I'd come over to play. *heehee* (Mind you I was well into my late 20's...)
We would get SOOOoooo silly and giggly in our play sessions that I would laugh so hard and end up snorting. LOL! It was he who came up with the term and it became my name for years. I just love kids. ;D

I once knew a lady named Sama Who, despite being a grandma Liked to play and to chirrup; And indulge with maple syrup Her smile lights me up like a Gama! Lammmmmmmmmmme I know, but Sama is a hard word to rhyme! I knew a girl whos name was MirRa Who came from the suns inner sphere She shone like a star From near and from far! Every second her beauty grew clearer I once knew a girl named Sowelu Who didn't know quite what to do! "Should I giggle or snort?" And EC did retort: "Gigglesnort-girl no matter, we LOVE you!"
