Hi all!
A friend of mine, who lives in Michigan USA, is an amateur photographer/astronomer and took some pictures of the Venus transit. Thought others might like to see them, so I'm posting them here (hope this is the right place?) ENJOY!: ;D
(They're kinda big, hope it works out ok)
All shots were taken with a Nikon CoolPix 4500 digital camera attached to a Stellarvue Nighthawk 80mm f/6 refractor with a homemade solar filter over the objective lens. The only exception is the first shot, it was taken right after the sun popped up over the horizon and no filtering was used.

Wow!, Thanks Sowy, These pics are fabulous. This is the first time I have seen the transit. I couldn't see it where I live.

I'm so glad you like 'em, guys, I have to tell him. And no, MirRA, he's not a professional, but maybe he should be, you know? I agree, these are really excellent pictures! ;D

Sowelu, Your friend has great talent. I have seen many people focus their energy in other areas and they over look their talents which can be what they were assigned to do. This friend of yours can easily put up a site and share his photos of space or whatever, of course if he has the tools like telescopes, etc... I loved them and they have very little difference comparing to the Nasa photos!
