Ok I'm hoping someone could shed some light on this, it was a very odd dream indeed. I saw snakes... big black ones, about 7 feet long, they always seemed to be afraid of people and darted so fast underground outside in different areas. They were pretty frightening to me, as I wasn't sure if they were poisonous or not. Shiny, dark black with very ugly heads. Some got into my parent's house and someone called a snake catcher. This man was black as well and seemed confident he could catch these snakes. I could only remember seeing 2-3 in the house. This guy had a terrible looking set of metal chains, I thought perhaps he was going to catch the snakes like they do on Discovery channel, very gently. But no this guy would chase the snakes out from hiding and meanly catch them in his chains, basically mangling the poor snakes up. I couldn't handle watching this and I came out of the dream. On a side note, what I've been doing is meditating every evening, attempting to make conscious connection with my guides. I tune in my heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown chakras and wait silently. Then my body starts to move on its own, some sort of rocking motion. It seems to come into my middle back area. I can mentally say back off and it will, or come closer and it will increase. This has been happening for a while now, and a good friend of mine says this is developing trust with my guides/higher self for future contact. I think that's pretty neat. I only added the last part because I'm working on raising my energies, and not sure if this dream has some meaning for me along the same lines. Thank you, Kara

Ceara,
Perhaps you should involve your lower chakras with your meditation. This would be balanced. The snakes I think represent Kundalini energy as well as sexuality (2nd chakra?). The Kundaline rises from the base - underground. Then when the snakes (kundalini, lower chakras) do "get in the house" you get your dark side to catch them. Either way it goes you're not comfortable with your "dark" - your "lower" chakras it seems. You will become as such when you get to know them and include them.
Hope this helps.
Love! Nicole

I agree with Nicole's interp, and I'd add that there seems to be a hint for you in this dream, as to why you make the choice to disinclude the lower energies: you're uncertain if there would be further negative implications by doing so, or if they would "taint" (poison) the light you carry already.
The treatment they receive when you abdicate taking on the responsibility of handling them yourself, clues you in that it isn't the best method of dealing with them.
Just remember there is nothing greater than, stronger than, more able to embrace anything, than love. Your loving essence is the perfect "tool" for handling those dark energies.
The work you've been doing lately seems to be what has "raised" these darker energies to your awareness. We cannot open to more light if we reject the dark that balances it. Once the dark energies are understood, this is what brings that greater light, in fact.
With love, Sowelu

I always thought that the lower chakras aren't for receiving, which is why I have not operated them, so to speak. I was also told it was risky using the root, so I haven't even attempted. Since beginning on this path, many dark parts of me have been surfacing, and I have been beating them down as each one comes. So I figure that the snakes represent not kunalini but of the fact my dark sides are afraid of the light and are retreating. I appreciate your comments, and would love any information on how to include the lower chakras into my work. I look forward to the day I finally get to meet the spirits face to face. Kara

All chakras are for receiving. That is incomplete information. Limiting.
Start with a basic meditative position and open the base of your spine. I see violet and white, and Germain said he'd work with you.
Then merge the base of your spine with the crystal core of the earth. Intend this, pray for it, visualize it, however you'd do this.
Once you feel grounded you can open the other chakras as you've been trained for the upper chakras. It's being suggested that you use violet and white for all the chakras the first few times you do this.
The dark parts of you need to rise and welcomed. This will be easier when the lower chakras are open.
Hope this helps.
Love, Monikah

(((Hiya Kara!)))
While I don't know much about the work you do, one thing stands out to me here, so I thought I'd share it.
Examine assumptions, old rules about energy, beliefs that stem from the past... determine to remain open and curious as you work.
Rather than thinking along the lines of intentionally including the lower chakras/energies in your work, the sense I get is to simply not DISINCLUDE them. In other words... don't hold a bias against any energies, and it will flow naturally. Trust nature and life. Trust that you have what you need to handle whatever comes your way in your work. Trust that there is a flow that you do not need to control or direct.
Let life (energy) naturally flow to you, and your task is to discover how best to respond. Cutting off the natural flow on its way in, cuts you off from so much more that is rightfully yours to enjoy.
Again I get "just trust". Hope this helps some! (((Hugs)))
Much love, Sowelu

[glow=red,2,300]I too immediately thought Kundalini when I read your dream and your meditative experiences. In addition to what others have said, maybe it might help to read up on Kundalini energy and find out more about what it is. Knowledge helps to remove fear of the unknown -SeaofFeeling[/glow]

WOW look at all the replies! All very, very good, and thank you all! Just to let you know, what works for my upper chakras is to imagine dials with numbers 1-10. I set the dials, and when they feel right they flash or light up on the right number. I usually set the upper ones around 8 to 8.5 or so. So, with that in mind, what numbers 1-10 for the lower ones? As far as the work I'm doing? Well I'm working on opening a path for channeling, to bring across information for the betterment of humanity, on many subjects. I participate in a very small group, there's 5 of us right now and we are all working towards similar goals. This is for the future when all of us can get together and channel as a team. Spirit has told other members in the group, this is to be so. It's all very exciting. Kara

Very cool, Kara! (((Hugs)))
What just came to me is that the 2nd chakra, which we typically call the sexual chakra, is actually our relating to this world chakra, our creative life force into 3D chakra, and it may well be important energy to include in your work, if you're to bring new information here. Do you feel what I mean?
We birth new life here, as in literally giving birth to children, because we first connected with and creatively related with someone using the 2nd chakra energies. It's how we create new life at this level. Soooo... bringing this energy in line with the heart, as well as the rest of the lower chakra energies, would be important to birth/bring in new idea here.
Huh. Just popped in, so I shared.
Best to you! (((Hugs))) Sowelu

What stood out to me was
Your dark sides are not afraid, nor are the light sides. Examine your fears regarding them. Perhaps part of you is afraid of them?

Oh, no doubt that I fear some, isn't that a normal human thing? But I'm exploring and dealing with whatever comes up, it's better for me in the long run. I dont want to be stuck with this crap in the next life. That's why its so great to have people like you all to bounce ideas off... Thanks for listening, Kara
