I've been wrestling with this for a while. How can I tell the difference in my dreams. I mean how can I tell if it's my "mind" making things up and its fantasy land? How can I tell if I am actually experiencing things from a past life, or even from alternate realities that I may be peaking in on?
I need assistance because some of my dreams are really funky and they do have a sense of physical touch, emotions and a whole bunch of other stuff. But just last night it was more of a physical touch that I recognized it in with just barely a hint of feeling emotions in that moment. It was almost not there.

Hello Ed ;D I can tell you that you will KNOW when you are dreaming and what your mind is making up. I used to go through the same thing. I always wondered. Now, it seems that I'm getting some physical evidence. By that I mean things like my clock when I wake up at certain times. Also, Ed keep a dream journal. That helps keep things on track. You can tell by what your dreams are and your thoughts. It's actually intriguing. I've been writing about my dreams for awhile and I noticed like when I have vivid dreams, that I can write alot of detial. Sometimes I have dreams in spurts. That's ok too, just immediatley write stuff down espeically if you know something occurred. Hope this helps, my friend :-)

That's a good point. If you wake up and the clock is sequential you've been doing something upstairs and just got coded. Or you wake to a noise, whether 3D or inner ear, so what you were doing sets in. Or wake with a jerk, you've come back to your body. Experiencing ... when you wake up knowing you've experienced something physically (be it emotions, thoughts, school, a kiss) upstairs. Past stuff isn't quite so intense. That's what I notice. Hi Ed, For me, I notice my most vivid and lucid dreams are parallel universes. The rest are like a knowing. What the other kinds of dreams represent. Also it helps a lot to keep a journal. Not only for the record to look back at but it seems to go further than that. I notice when I keep a journal I Am able to remember my dreams for much longer before even writing them down. I also feel more intuitive about my dreams when I Am journaling them. What kind it was and what it was telling me... Now if I would just take my own advice and not be lazy about writing things down... I tend to do it in spirts. Sorry not really much help.

Lotus, I can remember dreams from when I was a kid, I can remember dreams over 10 years ago. I remember most if not "all" my dreams. Yes I do not remember some of them but I often get triggered or flash backs of those dreams from time to time. Like a certain smell or visual I get now, triggers that what I haven't remembered and then I get the full realization of that it was one of my dreams from long ago.
I will take yours, Zana and Monika's advice in possibly take a dream journal of sorts. Perhaps it will shed a new light on things for me in a different perspective and bring those dreams to a clearer focus than trying to remember it off the cuff so to speak.
Thanks guys.
Love, Peace and Enlightenment,
Ed

The best answer I have is you'll KNOW Ed. Sorry if that's not much help. Just trust your inner knowing. You will know, just like you know if you're in love or something

Ed, I understand what you mean!
I think if you remember the dreams like they were a part of your life.. then it's more likely more than just dreams. When I get that sense after waking up... I feel very disoriented in my own bed, trying to get my own bearing...
"Oh right. That's another lifetime."
Usually, with "normal" dreams, I dont get this disoriented.
I'm sorry, I couldn't be more specific than that! LOL It's just a way of how I can discern dreams from multidimensional memories. I'm still debating about the starship dream I've had. If I were to follow my instincts, that would be a real memory. Very real. But I can also look at the symbolism if all else fails. Yes, from the example of my recent dream posting... even I do doubt my ability in discerning the dreams as something more than dreams or just dreams. No clear drawn out answers? LOL
